Tipping is not a traditional practice in China. In restaurants or hotels, it is uncommon and may be politely declined.

For travel services, however, it has become common to thank drivers and guides with a voluntary tip, based on your satisfaction. This is never expected but always appreciated.

Please note:

Osemise does not include forced shopping stops in any itinerary. Our local guides and drivers are properly compensated and do not rely on commissions. Tipping remains entirely at your discretion.

As a reference (for your group per day):

  • Group of 2–4: Guide: ~¥80 | Driver: ~¥50
  • Group of 5–10: Guide: ~¥120 | Driver: ~¥70
